Health Scene in Kashmir-Desparate call for upliftment.

Post  Admin on Mon Aug 11, 2008 10:51 am

Kashmir has been in the thick of the turmoil over the past two decades and all the facets of life in the place have taken a serious beating. The state boasts of 'n' number of doctors, superspecialists and nursing personnel. The ground reality is, however, very far from the ideal.People do not get the optimal management of their illness barring in some hospitals of tertiary care nature. Even there the resources have been ovrwhelmed and the facilities are not at par with what their counterparts in other parts of India. We need to supplement our hospitals as well as educational syste.
For the present I would request the Non resident Kashmiris who reportedly send money to be utilized by the Kashmiris for good cause, to contribute their bit in sending the equipment and maintenance consumables for the machines so taht the facilities infrastructure stays upgraded and at the tertiary level care is optimal.
Subsequently primary care facilities will need to be strengthened with good triage areas that will ultimately lead to reduction of the load to the main hospitals.
Comments are welcome.

I think you should focus more on primary care than on tertiary care. machines are fine but you need men behind those.
